Creating a Bathroom Oasis

The Beginnings.This Annandale, VA homeowner was frustrated by a bland 1980s bathroom with a tight layout and wasted space that simply didn't function well.

The Concept. Creating a successful layout for this small space started with a smart floor plan. We presented several possible layouts for the homeowner to consider. By moving walls, we created a roomy shower and much-needed storage, including a cabinet-style armoire and a built-in linen closet. The vanity becomes the focal point with granite counters and semi-custom cabinetry. Blue-gray porcelain tile grounds the space, with a splash of color in the mosaic accent tiles and pops of chrome in the fixtures.
