Contemporary Vintage

Our clients are empty nesters, so when it came to refreshing their home, the request was for more function, a better eat-in option for the kitchen, and a totally different approach to the primary bathroom.

The style? A mix of contemporary and clean lines, woven in with charming vintage touches–and even a bit of glam. The result is a warm, welcoming kitchen that is both glamorous and cozy, and a bathroom that transports you to an oasis of luxury.

The kitchen has a European feel to it, with custom deep green cabinetry, and two white oak  islands. On the perimeter, the marble countertops and backsplash create plenty of drama, and mixed metal hardware bridges the luxe and the vintage.

The main island provides a multi-function area with plenty of space for prep, washing up, or sitting down. The Caesarstone countertops extend into the integral sink, creating a seamless look. Tons of storage includes a space for the wine fridge and microwave. An additional island, also clad in Caesarstone, adds even more prep space and storage.

Other delicious details to note are the corner shelves, vintage-inspired lighting with brass detail, cutting board storage, a counter cabinet with walnut interior, built-in espresso maker, and the expansive bank of window seating. It’s the perfect place to snuggle up with a book.

The client’s bathroom had an oversized and outdated jet tub that was removed and replaced with an expansive, breathtaking walk-in shower. The tile work is absolutely stunning, with a mix of large marble, white herringbone, pencil trim, and the teal accent wall. Aged brass fixtures tie it all together, and the beauty continues out to the exquisite custom double vanity, with marble countertops and apron front sinks, wall-mounted brass taps, a huge mirror, and charming lighting that bring in that vintage feel.

This lovely home now has more function, space, and an elevated aesthetic that is perfect for two empty nesters enjoying the next chapter.
