An Outdated 90s Kitchen Gets New Life

Grounded in classic lines and elevated with unique fixtures, Modern Farmhouse is a design style that will never lose its appeal. Our client’s kitchen was 90s beige and brown, and one that could easily transform into a brighter, more functional space. The request was for a white kitchen that felt warm and inviting, and the result is one of our favorite remodel projects.

Custom-built white cabinets set off the generously sized, stained island, complete with a gas stovetop. Quartz countertops continue the clean, spacious feel of the room, and balance beautifully with the natural cherry floors. It’s the details of this design/build that really count, though. From the built-in benches to the planked ceilings, the custom beadboard wall to the vintage-feel light fixtures…this is a modern farmhouse kitchen to come home to.

I hired Meredith to design my new kitchen and couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Her suggestions on cabinets, paint colors, light fixtures and fabrics for the bench seat were perfect. I love the paneled ceiling and built in bench, as well as other custom touches she designed. I highly recommend Tuscan Blue Design for any project and will definitely use them in the future for other projects.” - J.Gilsdorf
